SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out click here to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support issue produced for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
